Matushka Nadezhda has been raising their sons alone for three years. And this is what she said about them:

“In the two years since our father and husband have been away from us, the children have matured a lot. The elders have become quite grown up — they have their own interests.

The eldest, Kirill (15 years old), sets an example for the younger ones. He is very serious and responsible. He is preparing for the Unified State Exam. He goes to extra classes and has almost no free time.

Kostya (13 years old) is the second child in the family.He tries to be like his elder. He has also grown and matured a lot, plays guitar and plays football and volleyball at school.

The third, Seraphim (11 years old) — he is still in his childhood. He is very sensitive. He goes to vocal classes and additionally to English lessons. He too has almost no free time, He is really looking forward to the winter holidays.

The youngest, Anton (7 years old) is very serious. He studies in the first grade at an Orthodox school. He tries very hard and likes to study. Next year he wants to study piano.

Seraphim and Anton asked for a microphone, speakers, headphones and a camera for their computer. The eldest both want a stereo speaker.

Life moves on, and we try to cope with God’s help and the help of friends to live without our beloved father. Thank you very much to the foundation and benefactors for not abandoning us!”

On November 11, 2021, as a result of COVID, cleric of the Sarov deanery Deacon Maxim Makartsev passed away to the Lord. The Matushka was left with four sons.
