Once again we are convinced that the letters of our Matushkas are evidence of how to live for God. They speak of How to go through the path of sorrow and find the joy of Divine consolation — that’s what they write about.

And today, on the day of memory of Father Sergius Pukhky, we publish here these important lines for everyone:

“The 4th anniversary is approaching and our beloved Father is no longer with us. I can’t say that time heals. Probably, the pain of separation dulls, but does not subside. Somehow my daughter is going through a particularly difficult time.

Dasha is growing up and very often asks the same question:

‘Why is that? Why did I lose my dad so early? How I want to climb into his lap (like in childhood) and tell him how my day went…’ — this was always the case when he came home from kindergarten. My daughter and I talk a lot about this topic. Of course, without father our life became different, difficulties of various kinds appeared, without them we could not go anywhere.

There were also joyful events in our lives. The middle son, Pavel, graduated from university and received a diploma. The event was very solemn: diplomas were presented on Red Square. And in August, Pavel married a girl with whom he had been friends since school. The newlyweds were married by my eldest son, Priest Elijah, who serves in St. Petersburg. In connection with such joyful and important events, Dasha and I had the opportunity to visit Moscow and St. Petersburg (it turned out to be an unforgettable trip)!

My deepest regards to the foundation and benefactors for their monthly assistance. It is the grace of God that we have you. For the anniversary of Father’s death, they planned to publish a magazine with a chronicle about the temple, which Father built with his own hands in the literal sense of the word. This construction was the work of his whole life — a temple in which he served for 19 years. They promise to release the magazine in March. Dasha continues to study at the choreographic studio. On weekends we try to get out of town to go ice skating, learning figure skating following my daughter. That is how we live. Thank God for everything!»

And we remind you: Archpriest Sergius Pukhkoy died on March 2, 2020. He was the rector of the temple of St. Sergius of Radonezh at the SibGIU of Novokuznetsk.
