Today, a family from Veliky Ustyug joins our Christmas marathon. And, of course, you have known them for a long time from our publications — these are the children of Matushka Lyudmila and Father Ilya Fomin.
Five boys—all strong and smart. Matushka told us about their cherished New Year’s dreams, which she wanted to keep secret:
“Our children: the eldest Daniel, is 16 years old. He is now studying at the Orthodox Theological Gymnasium at a monastery in the city of Verkhoturye, Sverdlovsk region, carrying out the feat of prayer and learning. He will be glad to receive any gifts, but the most secret one is, of course, a tablet.
Sergius studies is a cadet in 7th grade and serves as a altar server under Bishop Photius. He is interested in cars and is also happy to receive any gifts, although he dreams of headphones.
Ivan is a 4th grade student interested in many things, including the guitar, drawing, and science, but he also plays with simple toys.
Procopius is a 1st grade student who loves to serve at the altar. His favorite gifts are from the church shop (icons, crosses, icon lamps, candles), but this year he dreams of a cell phone: everyone has one, but he doesn’t, he wants to call his mother after school.
Sashenka is the youngest son. He is 6 years old. He is learning to read, write, and loves all educational toys. He loves to sculpt from plasticine.”
Let us remind you: on March 14, 2019, at the age of 32, priest Ilya Fomin, cleric of the Veliky Ustyug diocese, died after a long illness. There are 5 children left.

Friends, if you want to give a gift to one of the boys or collect a big one for all five of them at once, here are the instructions: leave any message, for example, «I want to give a gift» or just the word «gift» (to everyone or specifically to someone), then write in direct message https://t.me/matushky that you want to give what kind of gift. Then we will send you mother’s address, and you yourself will send it to the address.
Having sent a gift, please be sure to inform us and Matushka that the gift has been sent. This is necessary so that there are no overlaps and that the child is not left without a gift. If you change your mind or cannot send a gift, then be sure to let us know so that we can pass on these children to others who wish to do so.
A summary of the gifts:
Daniil — tablet
Sergei — headphones (most likely wireless)
Ivan — board game or set for experiments
Procopius — smartphone like Samsung
Sasha — Lego 5+ or any educational game and a large soft shark .
