“Two years ago I took up Nordic walking. My health forced me to start doing aerobics as after Covid, terrible swelling began, and nothing helped with the swelling. I was also too heavy, which caused slight shortness of breath when walking. Once, I decided to take a walk in the park. It was late October and it was raining, but I thoroughly enjoyed the hour of walking at a pace in the rain. The next time I picked up the snow shoes I had bought a long time ago—and away we go… You know, I got great pleasure from snow shoeing. I snow shoed in any weather, in rain and slush, in frost and snowstorm, and I really liked it. It’s just that when you are alone with nature, you can feel all one’s gratitude for God. You have time to think and pray, and peace comes to your soul. As a bonus, in addition to the benefits for the soul, I received health benefits. My swelling went away and I lost 15 kg in 5 months. Then I had a break, and now I’ve picked up the snowshoes again. If I have time before work, I try to snowshoe 2-3 km, or even 5, and after work my route runs through the park. “I like to walk, and I like to walk quickly. You measure out target segments for yourself around the city and move on. In the summer I go to the gym. I alternate between brisk walking and exercise. It turned out that I started working out on the right aerobics equipment that simulated «classes.» Only afterwards the neurologist then prescribed physical activity. Even if these are not professional classes, after each «class» you feel like a winner, which forces yourself to get up and go do the exercises. Exercise is necessary. First of all, for health, because our children need healthy mothers. My son and I also ride bicycles. He is the one who makes me go for a ride in the evening.
